TEXAS REGIONAL COLLABORATIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN MATHEMATICS

The Texas Regional Collaboratives for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching were formed to improve the academic achievement of students in mathematics through teaching professional development. The ESC Region 15 is proud to be selected as one of the twenty-four regional collaboratives across the state receiving funding for the 2014-2015 school year.

We are currently in the application and recruiting process for the 2015-2016 school year.  If you or a math teacher you know is interested in participating as a Math Teacher Mentor, please contact the Region 15 Math department for additional information.

Math TEKS Resources
 
In April 2012, the State Board of Education (SBOE) adopted revisions to the mathematics Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for kindergarten - grade 12. A list of resources to assist parents and teachers in the transition to the revised mathematics TEKS for K-8, which were implemented in 2014-2015, is available on the Texas Education Agency homepage under The Latest TEA News and at Resources for the Revised Kindergarten - Grade 8 Mathematics TEKS.
