Introduction

All of you are designated as my Employee Recovery Team.  As a member of ERT, you will tackle workforce issues.  Your goal is to improve the efficiency of this company’s workers.

The single greatest problem that our employees currently face is drug use.  Our company is losing millions of dollars every year as a result of drug use.  Our employees are suffering from large medical bills, loss of pay for missed days, and are at risk of being fired.  The company would rather save an experienced worker than hire new people and have to provide extensive training for them.

The most widely used drug is marijuana.  Your first assignment is to produce a pamphlet that outlines for employees the consequences of marijuana use.  These pamphlets will be included with every employee’s paycheck three weeks from now.

Task

Your team will produce a pamphlet that is designed to persuade employees of the company not to use marijuana.  There are several things that must be accomplished in order to achieve this goal.

1.      You must research the effects of marijuana on people’s lives.

2.     You must research persuasive devices and select the ones you wish to include in your pamphlet.

3.     You must organize your pamphlet in a way that readers will find appealing.

4.     You must prepare a copy of your pamphlet using computer software.
