Introduction:
We Want You! Florida the Sunshine State welcomes families
for “Fun in the Sun”. Family vacations are a time honored tradition that can be great fun or
simply endured. Prepare yourself to use
high order thinking skills to make decisions that will ensure ten days of fun
and memories while traveling and visiting great state of Florida.
Task:
Your family will take a
vacation to Florida. You will use the Internet to make travel plans that must
include how to get there, what local attractions to visit such as a museum, and
how your money will be spent.
Process:
Listed below are the criteria you will be expected to follow:
Travel Plans:
You will be traveling from
Menard, Texas to Florida. You will need to include a map of your travel plans
to show mileage to and from Florida.

trip will last 10 days, including travel time.

Your
family will have $5000.00 to spend on the entire vacation.
3.
You
will travel in your family-owned vehicle.
Your maximum speed is 70 mph. This will help you plan your travel
time. Your vehicle gets 20 miles per
gallon and has a fifteen-gallon tank.

You
must spend one night in a hotel on the way to Florida and one night on the way
home. You will also need to plan lodging
for each night once you reach your destination.

family member must eat 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch & dinner) each
family member will be allowed $25.00 per day for meals.
